I may not be the only one to do this, but amongst most of my peers here at Sand Creek, I'm one of the few. My special talent is drawing - people in a style similar to anime.
Everyone can draw, of course, but not everyone has the ability to draw humanoid beings, animals, landscape, etcetera. Here's how I draw my unique style of people.
I start with the head. I have to start with the head or everything ends up outo proportion.
I draw a circle (or almost circle) to start with the top of it then create the lower half with a roundm triangular shape and I add the neck with two swoops on either side of the bottom of the head.
After the shape is done, I draw the nose with a long bridge (most artists will draw a cross shape as guides for the eyes and nose, but I use the bridge of the nose instead). Below it I'll draw a line for a mouth and a line below that for the lower lip (sometimes a line under that for a more defined chin.) And then I draw the eyes. I start with the upper eyelashes, usually a line that curves slightly up, and then to the side (right if it's the right eye, left if it's the left) I draw the shape of that side of the eye. Inside the eyes shapes, I draw irises and the pupils. Then I start on the figure of the person.
Depending on the gender, I'll give them broad or thin shoulders. I'll draw small bumps at the end of the swoops I used to draw the necks and created an odd stub-looking appendage for the bicep. I repeat on the opposite side. Starting at where the elbow meets the forearm, I draw another stub and then a rough hand shape.
I draw a torso depending on the gender and start on the hips which are usually just a slightly more curved part of the torso. From the hips I draw more stubs for the legs to the knees and more pointed stubs to the ankle. I usually don't draw feet.
After that, I add the desired hair and clothing and I have my finished product!
It'd be easier to show this with pictures but that's not available to me now.

New Technology
I don't have an awful lot of recent technology. I have a phone that only texts and calls, an old computer, and a wii. That's about it. I'd love to have a wiiU. It's the latest console from Nintendo and has an abundance of games that I'd like to try out. I'd also like a higher-tech phone. My phone is useful and all, but I have a limited amount of any form of messaging and there's moments where I'd like internet access away from home. I'd be able to keep in contact with much more people that way.
Technology that I'd like that hasn't been invented yet is nervegear. It's a form of gaming technology existant in the anime Sword Art Online that puts you inside the virtual reality of whatever game it is you decide to play. I assume this could also be used in the movie industry. You could experience your own personal movie, get in on the action or just sit and watch from the sidelines. How fun would that be?
I'm excited for what new technology will come in the future.

Four Day Weekend!
This year for Thanksgiving, we had a 4-day weekend.
On Thursday, Thanksgiving day, we made Christmas ornaments and ate a small meal before putting up the Christmas tree. We had no lights, so we only put up the tree. After eating we painted the ornaments and also painted small canvases that came with the paint set. After watching two movis (Rango and The A-Team) we went to my Dad's for the rest of the weekend.
On Friday my dad, my brother Joseph, and I got up early and went to the Maple Market at the Adrian Mall, where we sold candy bars and attempted to sell some Party Light candles. There was very little business, despite it being Black Friday. Tha'ts a little depressing.
On Saturay, we repeated the same process of going to the Adrian Mall to sell candy and candles, but this time I brought along my art supplies and offered to sell art comissions (payed-for art requests). I had no business but I got a few compliments and that made my day. I also bought a crochet little cactus that I found absolutely adorable and a cookies-and-cream "mustache" chocolate lollipop.
Sunday was a lazy day. I had slept downstairs on a couch because I felt like it and I woke up at almost noon. I played The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword all morning and then I was on the computer for a while until dinner. After dinner I went upstairs and watched the two episodes of Sword Art Online that I had missed on Toonami. My mom picked me up afterwards and we went home where I spent the rest of the night on the comptuer playing random MMORPGs (Mass Multi-player Online Role Play Games). It was fun.
And now we're back to school and Christmas break is quickly approaching. I'm excited!

Thanksgiving
Each year during Thanksgiving, at least my immediate family will get together and have either a big meal or a small meal. It's a time to get together and, of course, be thankful for what we have.
We eat either turkey or ham with a side of corn or some sort of vegetable. In recent years we've had smaller get-togethers becuase of the recent divorces in the family and the food was abundant and delicious. My favorite thanksgiving food is corn for whatever reason. It's sweet, but not too sweet and I love it best with butter and salt.
My mom wants to start the tradition of putting up the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving or the day after (depending on who we're with that weekend) and that's when we really start asking about Christmas presents.
I like Thanksgiving. It takes place in my favorite season and some of my favorite foods are eaten on that day. I like the entire thankful spirit it brings about that is completely crushed by Black Friday. I'm happy to spend it with my mother this year. Should be fun.

What is My Type of Dull Evening?
My dull evening is a lot more dull than what most people would consider dull. I spend my life at home on a computer, so I just spend all day sitting in front of a lit up screen, occaisionally having to step between my cat and my dog from killing each other.
A dull evening for me is when no one is online and I can not find any youtube videos to entertain me. That's actually a qutie rare event. When I find myself without anyone to speak with or any games to play, I will go on a YouTube adventure. I'll start by watching an average video of someone on my subscribers list. I'll go check out someone they made a video with then see an interesting title in the related section and I eventualyl end up on a completely random video with no relation to the first video. Things can get very interesting.
A dull evening for me is when I have nothing else and I can't even find strange videos to watch. I've got a simple life.

Why is it Important to be Honest?
I believe the only reason to tell a lie would be to protect those who should not be involved in an issue, otherwise, I don't. It is especially important to tell the truth when people's lives will benefit from it. The truth can keep you out of a lot of trouble. I don't think I like a lot during the week. Maybe once. I don't keep count of how many times I've lied.
I do my best not to lie to anyone, but it is inevitable because not everything we know or have is something we want exposed.
The only time the truth would not be something to tell is when the lies your telling will protect an innocent or more.

Youmacon 2013!
Youmacon was absolutely fabulous!
I had so much fun. I saw all sorts of voice actors and people in bizarre and unique cosplay. It was wonderful. We walked and stood a lot but it felt very worth it. I ended up with several autographs from people such as Sonny Strait (Krillin in Dragon Ball Z) and many more!
The highlights of the event were the two voice actors Todd Haberkorn and Chuck Huber.
Todd Haberkorn is one of the most popular anime voice actors. The roles I know him best for are Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail and Death the Kid from Soul Eater. Todd was a very kind person and a very attractive person as well. He was awesome and funny and was quite charming.
Chuck was a bit strange. He is known for very strange characters. I know him best for the characters Franken Stein (two words) from Soul Eater and Shou Tucker from Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I learned he is a father of 6 and he was a big goof.
The rest of the con was very fun. I'll have pictures to show soon!
