Thanksgiving

Each year during Thanksgiving, at least my immediate family will get together and have either a big meal or a small meal.  It's a time to get together and, of course, be thankful for what we have.

We eat either turkey or ham with a side of corn or some sort of vegetable.  In recent years we've had smaller get-togethers becuase of the recent divorces in the family and the food was abundant and delicious.  My favorite thanksgiving food is corn for whatever reason.  It's sweet, but not too sweet and I love it best with butter and salt.

My mom wants to start the tradition of putting up the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving or the day after (depending on who we're with that weekend) and that's when we really start asking about Christmas presents.

I like Thanksgiving.  It takes place in my favorite season and some of my favorite foods are eaten on that day.  I like the entire thankful spirit it brings about that is completely crushed by Black Friday.  I'm happy to spend it with my mother this year.  Should be fun.

What is My Type of Dull Evening?

My dull evening is a lot more dull than what most people would consider dull.  I spend my life at home on a computer, so I just spend all day sitting in front of a lit up screen, occaisionally having to step between my cat and my dog from killing each other.

A dull evening for me is when no one is online and I can not find any youtube videos to entertain me.  That's actually a qutie rare event.  When I find myself without anyone to speak with or any games to play, I will go on a YouTube adventure.  I'll start by watching an average video of someone on my subscribers list.  I'll go check out someone they made a video with then see an interesting title in the related section and I eventualyl end up on a completely random video with no relation to the first video.  Things can get very interesting.

A dull evening for me is when I have nothing else and I can't even find strange videos to watch.  I've got a simple life.

Why is it Important to be Honest?

I believe the only reason to tell a lie would be to protect those who should not be involved in an issue, otherwise, I don't.  It is especially important to tell the truth when people's lives will benefit from it.  The truth can keep you out of a lot of trouble.  I don't think I like a lot during the week.  Maybe once.  I don't keep count of how many times I've lied.
I do my best not to lie to anyone, but it is inevitable because not everything we know or have is something we want exposed.

The only time the truth would not be something to tell is when the lies your telling will protect an innocent or more.

Youmacon 2013!

Youmacon was absolutely fabulous!

I had so much fun.  I saw all sorts of voice actors and people in bizarre and unique cosplay.  It was wonderful.  We walked and stood a lot but it felt very worth it.  I ended up with several autographs from people such as Sonny Strait (Krillin in Dragon Ball Z) and many more!

The highlights of the event were the two voice actors Todd Haberkorn and Chuck Huber.

Todd Haberkorn is one of the most popular anime voice actors.  The roles I know him best for are Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail and Death the Kid from Soul Eater.  Todd was a very kind person and a very attractive person as well.  He was awesome and funny and was quite charming.

Chuck was a bit strange.  He is known for very strange characters.  I know him best for the characters Franken Stein (two words) from Soul Eater and Shou Tucker from Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.  I learned he is a father of 6 and he was a big goof.

The rest of the con was very fun.  I'll have pictures to show soon!

Na, na, na, na, Here at the Con

At the end of this week I plan on attending an anime convention on Detroit called Youmacon.  It will be held at the Detroit Ren Cen and Cobo Hotel with a lot of panels and plenty of guests.  It'll be my first convention I won't see Vic Mignogna at, but this will give me the chance to focus on other guests.

The guests I'm most excited for are:

Todd Haberkorn
Todd Haberkron voice actor popular for the voices of Death the Kid from the anime Soul Eater, Italy from the anime series Hetalia, Allen Walker from the anime series D. Gray Man, and Natsu Dragneel from the anime series Fairy Tail.  He is also featured in the fan-created series, Star Trek Continues as Mr. Spock

Chuck Huber
Caitlin Glass voice actress popular for the role of Winry Rockbell from the anime series Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Chuck Huber voice actor popular for the voice of Franken Stein from the anime Soul Eater.

Brad Swaile Canadian voice actor most popular for his role as Light Yagami from the anime series Death Note.

Prince Baka
I'm cosplaying for it as a character named Prince Baka from the anime, Level E.  It's a show about how an alien prince who loves to torment people comes to Earth to escape an arranged marriage and in turn terrorizes a small nubmer of Japanese citizens.

I'm hoping to see some fellow Rangers there.  It's a slim chance but, the chance still exists. A Ranger, or Risembool Ranger, is a member of Vic Mignogna's fanclub, named for the home town of his most popular character, Edward Elric.  I am one of them (see my sweatshirt I wear all the time).

Either way, I'm very excited for this convention.  I plan to Vlog about it so stay tuned for more updates!

Halloween!

Source: http://www.mt-pleasant.org/images/newsroom/trick_treat_2.jpg
This year, Halloween falls on a Thursday.  Up until this year, I've gone trick-or-treating (except for one year when I went to Youmacon instead).  I've gone as a variety of characters and other things.  My favorite place to go has been a nursing home near Bixby.

I don't remember most of the costumes I wore in elementary.  I remember going as Barbie with a mask, being a blue fair with a big blue wig and purple wings, a simple witch outfit, but not much else.

I love M&Ms and anything with chocolate in it such as Snickers.  The best candy to get in your bag would be one of those chocolate bars and a snack-size bag of anything.  I recall favoring bottle caps quite a bit.

We don't particularily follow the tradition of carving pumpkins like most people do.  I'm pretty sure the only pumpkin I ever carved was last year.  Mine ended up falling into itself a bit and then complutely ruined by someone kicking it in.  That was a bit sad.

I'm still looking forward to the end of this month though!  Stay tuned for the adventures from Youmacon!

Fall

Fall has begun!  I love the colors and the cool air it brings.  It's my favorite season!  My favorite things about fall has been Halloween and Thanksgiving.  I'm a big fan of anything with sugar in it and up until this year, I'd go around costumed getting free candy from strangers, though the biggest reason I'm not doing it this year is an Anime Convention I'm going to.

Vic Mignogna during Youmacon 2010
That's another thing.  Every year either the last few days of October or the first few days of November (or somewhere between there) an Anime (Japanese cartoons usually based off of Japanese graphic novels called manga) Convention called Youmacon.  It's been a few years since I went last, but I'm going again and I'm expecting a blast!
